Passionate About Seeing People Grow and Thrive

I have worked with adults and adolescents that presents with complex needs, specifically in relation to trauma, mental health, addiction, domestic and family violence, sexual assault, homelessness, forensic mental health and emotion dysregulation. I have held roles that provided leadership, consultation, case management and psychotherapy practice. I have a specialised understanding of behaviours in context to trauma. I have led community teams and provided leadership and consultation regarding change management, improving team culture and implementing new service and practice models.

In these roles I have extensive experience in many therapeutic practices and focused psychological strategies, including Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Trauma Informed Care, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Suicide Awareness and Prevention and Mindfulness.  I enjoy working with a wide variety of clients and I have a special interest in working with women recovering from trauma or those with personality vulnerabilities.

I have specialist training in mental health and trauma counselling. I regularly complete professional development training to ensure my therapy approaches work and are in line with current research. I believe in working collaboratively with my clients to build upon their strengths and create and use strategies to help heal from past and current difficulties. Each treatment approach is tailored to meet the specific needs of the client.

I am warm and patient and will help you to feel seen and heard. My trauma informed and strengths-based perspective will support you to not only survive- but grow and thrive.
